Cervical Cancer

Cancer is a disease due to uncontrolled cell division and these cells have the ability to attack other biological tissue. Cancer cells (mass of abnormal tissue malignancy) can be grown directly in the adjacent tissue (invasion) or migrate to distant cells (metastasis). Growth of cancer is caused by DNA damage. Cancer cells also cause mutations in genes that control vital cell division. Mutations are often caused by chemical or physical agents called carcinogens.

The highest cancer prevalence, especially among women are cervical cancer. This cancer is a type of cancer that occurs in the cervical area, or cervix. The cervix is part of the uterus associated with the vagina. Cancer, cervical cancer is the second most frequently attacked the woman in the world. And also the second cancer the most frequent cause of death. It is estimated that every day there is more than 50 new cases of cervical cancer in a country and 25 women died in a region because of the disease. These high rates are usually caused by lack of knowledge and awareness of the dangers of cervical cancer. Many women do not know how dangerous is cervical cancer.

Who is at risk?
Cervical cancer tends to appear in women aged 35-55 years, but can also appear in women with a younger age. The cause of this cancer is a virus known as Human papilloma virus (HPV), which is a virus that attacks humans. Currently there are about 100 types of HPV that most are not dangerous, do not cause the visible symptoms and will disappear by itself. HPV infection most often occurs in adults (18-28 years). The development of HPV in the direction cervical cancer in the first infection depends on the type of HPV it. HPV types low or high risk can cause abnormalities called pre-cancerous. HPV types

Symptoms of cervical cancer
